Consider three LANs interconnected by two routers, as shown inFigure 5.38.

  1. Redraw the diagram to include adapters.
  2. Assign IP addresses to all of the interfaces. For Subnet 1 useaddresses of the form 111.111.111.xxx; for Subnet 2 uses addressesof the form 122.222.222.xxx; and for Subnet 3 use addresses of theform 133.133.133.xxx.
  3. Assign MAC addresses to all of the adapters.
  4. Consider sending an IP datagram from Host A to Host F. Supposeall of the ARP tables are up to date. Enumerate all the steps, asdone for the single-router example in Section 5.4.2.
