Hello! I’m trying to generate a sequence in Excel and wouldappreciate your help. In Column A, we have generations from1,2,3,… and in Column B, we have the number of rabbit pairsincreasing at each generation. Beginning at P(5), I’ve found apattern where we find [Pn-1 + Pn-3] + 1 then[Pn-1 + Pn-3] – 1, repeating. I’ve calculatedthe sequence by hand to G(11):

I need to know at what generation the population of rabbit pairsreaches 100,000. Because this is a variation on a Fibinaccisequence, please assume that the rabbits never die, and please alsoassume that the sequence started here is correct (again, this is avariation on Fibonacci). If you could provide the formula and workfor Excel, it would be most appreciated. Thank you!
