(Solved) : Recall Basic Cpu Architecture Given Book Presented Class Reminder Cpu Pc Ir Ac Register As Q44081844 . . .

Recall the basic cpu architecture given in the book andpresented in class. As a reminder, the CPU has a PC, IR, and an ACregister. You can assume that the PC and AC registers will beinitialized to zero when the cpu starts. Each instruction is 16bits long. The first four bits form the opcode, and the rest of thebits form an address to a memory location. There will be a total of16 (24 ) instructions for this architecture. List eightinstructions (Not given in the book) for this cpu, and for eachinstruction, explain what it does and why you feel it is necessaryor useful to have it.

Hints

• Try thinking of complex tasks that one might do often. Can youcreate a single instruction that does most of the work?

• Don’t forget flow of control. There should be at least oneconditional jump and one unconditional jump.

• Each instruction provides a single address. Binary operationswill need the AC register. Can you create an instruction thatdirectly operates on two addresses?
