10. The probability that a parolee will commit a crime while on parole is 0.68. A parole officer is in charge of 8 parolees. What is the probability that at least 7 of them will commit a crime while on parole? 11. The probability that a missile will hit its target is 0.86. If 7 missiles are launched, what is the probability that more than 4 of them hit their targets? Additional Requirements Other Requirements: I think the answer to probability that at least 7 parolees will commit a crime is 0.0457 using 1-Binomcdf(8.0.68,4) I think answer to probability of more then 4 missels hitting target 0.938 from 1-Binomcdf)7,0.86,4) but i am not sure if i am working problem out right Solution 10. You did a mistake here. When it asks for probability of atleast 7 committing crime, it means that 7 or 8 parolee can commit the crime So, the probability will be 1 – Binomcdf(8,0.68,6) = 0.2178 11. Probability that more than 4 will hit their targets = 1 – probability that 4 or less missiles hit the target = 1- Binomcdf(7,0.86,4) = 0.938
